(NEXSTAR) -- As tempting as it might be, don't throw all your food waste down the garbage disposal, plumbing professionals say. In a viral TikTok video posted on Oct. 18, employees at Prime Plumbing in Baltimore, Maryland, revealed what you should never put in the kitchen appliance -- and it caused quite a stir in the comment section. To be fair, the company did say that "some answers might surprise you."One plumber said chicken bones are a big no-no, which wasn't too shocking. Less-than-obvious foods his co-workers mentioned included rice, potatoes, and eggshells. "I was always told eggshells cleaned and sharpened blades," one user wrote. The company responded in another video, saying that's a myth, and suggested placing them in a compost bin instead. Card died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said. The 40-year-old Card of Bowdoin was suspected of also injuring 13 people during the shooting rampage on Wednesday night in Lewiston. State Department of Public Safety Commissioner Michael Sauschuck said law enforcement scoured the Maine Recycling Corp. property, where Card once worked, on Thursday night. Sauschuck said another state police team returned Friday to the site, which has about 60 trailers, and found Card’s bo...Police searching for man missing out of Fulton County

Israel launched an expanded ground operation on Saturday after knocking out communications and creating a near-blackout of information in the Gaza Strip with increased bombardment and artillery fire overnight.Israel’s defense minister said that “the ground shook in Gaza” and that the war against the Palestinian territory’s Hamas rulers had entered a new stage. Gaza residents described the massive overnight bombardment from the sea and the air as the most intense of the 3-week-old Israel-Hamas war. Other countries, United Nations officials and aid agencies described a dire situation on the ground in Gaza as ambulances left without cellphone or radio service resorted to chasing the sound of artillery fire to local people wounded. The Palestinian death toll since the war started passed 7,700, according to the Health Ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza. By Veronica Stracqualursi and Kristen Holmes | CNNFormer Vice President Mike Pence has suspended his campaign for president amid lagging poll numbers and financial challenges. He announced the suspension while speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual conference in Las Vegas on Saturday.Pence’s theory of his candidacy was simple – he broke from then-President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021, and refocused on the core conservative principles that founded the modern Republican Party with Ronald Reagan, his political beacon.Pence returned to that idea throughout his White House bid, from campaign signs intentionally harkening back to Reagan’s 1984 campaign to speeches urging his party to turn away from populism. His exit from the 2024 race shows today’s GOP has long left that kind of conservatism he represents, reshaped by Trump, who continues to be the dominant candidate in the race, despite his legal troubles.Pence, who was Indiana governor and a US congressman before being ...Brock Purdy cleared to play Sunday
