Putin’s “negotiations will primarily be with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia,” Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said Monday, according to Russia’s state-owned TASS news outlet. Before traveling to Saudi Arabia, Putin will also hold a “working visit” in the UAE, which is currently hosting the global COP28 climate summit in Dubai. “I hope that these will be very useful negotiations, which we consider extremely important,” Ushakov added. Putin risks arrest in many countries around the world due to an International Criminal Court (ICC) war crimes warrant against him issued in spring 2023 and related to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Cooling Down with Snow Showers

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 05:59:20 GMT

Today wasn’t the most ideal day with plenty of clouds overhead (some sun at times) but at least temperatures were in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Hopefully you enjoyed it because a dose of cold is inbound for the rest of the week. With the colder temperatures we’ll bring in the first flakes of the season for some of us, and we’ll have our first snow map of the season! (spoiler: it’s a pretty sad snow map if you’re a snow lover). While the week looks cold, it also looks dry aside from the snow showers Wednesday morning. Which, personally, I hardly count because it’s not rain and anything is better than rain. Sunday’s soaking rain was over an inch in several towns and really put a damper on the weekend. And go figure, rain on a weekend! Since June 1st we’ve only had 7 completely dry weekends. How sad!As the cold air moves in, wind on Wednesday morning will turn to the north-northeast and that little fetch off of the warmer ocean water is ...

NASHVILLE — Newly elected Hall of Fame manager Jim Leyland said he’s still haunted by Game 2 of the 2013 American League Championship Series, when David Ortiz famously hit an eighth-inning grand slam to tie the game and swing the series in Boston’s favor.During his press conference at the Winter Meetings, Leyland said he had both closer Joaquin Benoit and Phil Coke warmed up with two outs in the eighth and Ortiz on deck. Cook had been pretty good against Ortiz, Leyland said, but he also hadn’t pitched much and was a little wild, so he decided to hand the ball to his closer, who promptly allowed one of the most famous home runs in Red Sox history.“That’s the one that I’ve tossed and turned a little bit about,” Leyland said. “I’m not sure today if I made the right decision or not. I think I did because I went to my best relief pitcher, the guy who I felt had the ability to make the best pitch, but it could be a question.”In o...
